The AD7243ARZ-REEL is a complete 12-bit, voltage output, digital-to-analog converter with output amplifier and Zener voltage reference on a monolithic CMOS chip. No external trims are required to achieve full specified performance.
The DAC offers three selectable output voltage ranges: -5V to +5V, 0V to +5V, and 0V to +10V. It uses an R-2R architecture and provides a settling time of 10µs. The device operates from dual supplies with a positive range of 10.8V to 16.5V and a negative range of -16.5V to -10.8V. Typical power dissipation is 100 mW.
The serial interface supports SPI data rates up to 5 MHz, enabling a DAC update rate of 300 kHz. The device is housed in a 16-SOIC surface mount package and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. Applications include process control, industrial automation, and digital signal processing systems.
