The AD7243ARZ is a complete 12-bit voltage-output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices. It integrates an output amplifier, Zener voltage reference, and R-2R architecture on a single CMOS chip. Data is loaded through a fast serial SPI interface, supporting DAC update rates up to 300 kHz with a typical settling time of 10 µs.
The device offers three selectable output voltage ranges: 0V to +5V, 0V to +10V, and bipolar ±5V when using dual supplies. It operates from a ±10.8V to ±16.5V supply voltage and dissipates only 100 mW typical. The reference can be external or internal, providing design flexibility.
The DAC is specified for operation from -40°C to +85°C and is available in a 16-SOIC surface-mount package (0.295" body width, 7.50mm). Maximum INL is ±1 LSB and DNL is ±0.9 LSB, making it suitable for precision industrial control, instrumentation, and digital signal processing applications.
