The AD7237AAR is a complete dual 12-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices, part of the DACPORT series. It integrates two voltage-buffered outputs, an internal 5 V Zener reference, and output amplifiers on a single monolithic CMOS chip. No external trims are required for full specified performance.
The device uses an R-2R ladder architecture and provides a parallel data interface. Typical settling time is 8 µs. The analog supply voltage range is ±10.8V to 16.5V. Integral nonlinearity is ±1 LSB max and differential nonlinearity is ±0.9 LSB max. Typical power consumption is 165 mW in single-supply operation. The output voltage range is 0 to +5V, 0 to +10V on a single supply, or ±5V on dual supplies.
The AD7237AAR is housed in a 24-SOIC surface-mount package with a 7.50mm body width. It operates over the -40°C to +85°C industrial temperature range. The package is supplied in tube format. This part is suitable for microprocessor-controlled systems needing two precise analog outputs, such as industrial control, instrumentation, and automatic test equipment.
