The AD7228KN is a monolithic LC2MOS octal 8-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) with output buffer amplifiers from Analog Devices. It features eight voltage-output DACs with separate on-chip data latches, allowing individual loading of each DAC through a common 8-bit parallel data port. The control logic is compatible with most 8-bit microprocessors, requiring a 95 ns WR pulse.
Key electrical specifications include an R-2R architecture requiring an external voltage reference, settling time of 5 µs typical and 7 µs maximum, integral nonlinearity (INL) of ±1 LSB maximum, and supply voltage range of 13.5V to 16.5V. The device operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
The AD7228KN is packaged in a through-hole 24-pin PDIP (0.300" width, 7.62mm) and is suitable for applications requiring multiple DAC channels with minimal external components. No user trims are required for full specified performance.
