The AD7226KP is a quad 8-bit voltage-output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) manufactured by Analog Devices. It integrates four separate 8-bit DACs with output buffer amplifiers and control logic on a single monolithic chip, eliminating the need for external trimming to achieve full specified performance.
Each of the four DACs has its own on-chip data latch, and data is written to the selected latch through a common 8-bit TTL/CMOS-compatible parallel input port. The control inputs A0 and A1 determine which DAC is loaded when the WR signal goes low. The output buffer amplifiers can drive up to 5 mA of output current and are laser-trimmed during manufacture to remove the need for offset nulling.
The device operates with an analog supply voltage range of 14.25V to 15.75V and uses an external voltage reference. It is specified for input reference voltages from 2V to 12.5V with dual supplies, and also supports single-supply operation at a 10V reference. The AD7226KP is packaged in a 20-lead PLCC (J-Lead) surface-mount package and is rated for an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
The AD7226KP has 8-bit resolution.
The AD7226KP contains four separate D/A converters.
The settling time is 4 µs.
The operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C.
The device is offered in a 20-LCC (J-Lead) package, also known as 20-PLCC (9x9 mm).
The analog supply voltage range is 14.25V to 15.75V.
The DAC uses R-2R architecture.
