AD7226KN Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The AD7226KN from Analog Devices is a monolithic chip containing four 8-bit voltage-output digital-to-analog converters (DACs) with output buffer amplifiers and interface logic. No external trims are required for full specified performance. Each DAC has a separate on-chip latch, and data is transferred via a common 8-bit TTL/CMOS compatible input port. Control inputs A0 and A1 select which DAC is loaded.

This device is fabricated using a high-speed Linear Compatible CMOS (LC2MOS) process. It is specified for input reference voltages from 2V to 12.5V with dual supplies, and also for single supply operation at a 10V reference. The output buffer amplifiers can drive up to 5mA of output current, and their offsets are laser-trimmed during manufacture.

The AD7226KN is suitable for applications such as process control, automatic test equipment, and automatic calibration of large system parameters. It is available in a 20-pin DIP package, designed for through-hole mounting.

Key electrical characteristics include 8-bit resolution per channel and a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C. The device supports microprocessor compatibility and TTL/CMOS compatibility, simplifying integration into various systems.
