The AD7225LNZ is a quad 8-bit voltage output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices. It integrates four independent DACs on a single monolithic chip, each with its own reference input and output buffer amplifier. The device uses an R-2R architecture and provides buffered voltage outputs. It features a double-buffered parallel interface, allowing simultaneous update of all four outputs via the LDAC control. The AD7225LNZ operates from dual supplies in the range of 14.25V to 15.75V and offers a typical settling time of 4 µs. Integral nonlinearity (INL) is ±0.5 LSB maximum, and differential nonlinearity (DNL) is ±1 LSB maximum. The converter is housed in a 24-pin DIP package (0.300", 7.62mm) with through-hole mounting, making it suitable for breadboard prototyping and legacy designs. It operates over an extended industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. The separate reference inputs per channel enable independent scaling of each output, providing flexibility in multi-channel control and instrumentation applications.
