The AD7225KR is a quad 8-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices, featuring four independent DACs with output buffer amplifiers on a single monolithic chip. Each DAC has a separate external reference input, allowing flexible voltage scaling. The device uses an R-2R architecture and provides a buffered voltage output with a typical settling time of 4 µs. Integral nonlinearity (INL) is ±1 LSB maximum.
The AD7225KR employs a parallel data interface with double-buffered input registers, enabling simultaneous update of all four outputs. It operates from a single or dual supply, with a supply voltage range of 14.25 V to 15.75 V. The output voltage range is 0 V to 10 V with a 2 kΩ load. The reference input voltage range is 2 V to 12.5 V for dual supplies, and 10 V typical for single supply operation.
The device is housed in a 24-SOIC surface-mount package (0.295" width, 7.50 mm) and operates over an extended temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. No user trims are required to achieve full specified performance. The AD7225KR is suitable for industrial control, automatic test equipment, and multi-channel data acquisition systems.
