The AD7225KN is a quad 8-bit voltage output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) fabricated on Analog Devices' LC2MOS process. It integrates four independent DACs, each with a separate reference input and output buffer amplifier, eliminating the need for external trims. The double-buffered interface logic allows simultaneous update of all four outputs via a parallel data bus.
Key electrical specifications include a resolution of 8 bits, voltage-buffered output, R-2R architecture, and a settling time of 4 µs. Integral and differential nonlinearity are both ±1 LSB maximum. The device operates from a single or dual supply with a voltage range of 14.25 V to 15.75 V and is specified over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
The AD7225KN is housed in a 24-pin DIP package (0.300" width, 7.62mm pitch) with through-hole mounting. It is suitable for microprocessor-controlled systems requiring multiple analog outputs, such as industrial process control, automated test equipment, and programmable voltage sources.
