The AD7225BQ is a quad 8-bit voltage output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices. It integrates four complete DACs with output buffer amplifiers and double-buffered interface logic on a single monolithic chip. Each DAC has a separate reference input, allowing independent voltage scaling. The device uses an R-2R architecture and requires no external trims to achieve full specified performance.
The AD7225BQ features a parallel data interface with double-buffered inputs, enabling simultaneous update of all four outputs via the LDAC control. Settling time is 4 µs typical. Integral nonlinearity (INL) is ±1 LSB max, and differential nonlinearity (DNL) is ±1 LSB max. The supply voltage range is 14.25V to 15.75V, and the operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
The device is offered in a 24-lead CDIP (0.300", 7.62mm) through-hole package. It is suitable for industrial control systems, instrumentation, and automated test equipment requiring multiple precision analog outputs.
