AD7176-2BRUZ Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The AD7176-2BRUZ is a 24-bit, 250 kSPS sigma-delta analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Analog Devices. It offers fast settling time of 20 µs, enabling efficient channel scanning at 50 kSPS per channel. The ADC achieves 17 noise-free bits at 250 kSPS, 20 noise-free bits at 2.5 kSPS, and 22 noise-free bits at 5 SPS, with an integral nonlinearity of ±2.5 ppm of FSR.

Inputs can be configured as two fully differential or four pseudo-differential channels via an integrated crosspoint multiplexer. The device includes an on-chip 2.5 V band gap reference with 2 ppm/°C drift, an internal oscillator, and supports external crystal or clock. The digital interface is SPI/DSP compatible with CRC error checking.

The ADC operates from a single 5 V AVDD1 supply and 2 V to 5.5 V for AVDD2 and IOVDD, with a typical supply current of 7.8 mA. It is specified over the -40°C to +105°C temperature range and is housed in a 24-TSSOP surface-mount package.

Typical applications include process control (PLC/DCS modules), temperature and pressure measurement, medical and scientific multichannel instrumentation, and chromatography.
