AD7124-4BRUZ Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The AD7124-4BRUZ is a low noise, low power, 24-bit sigma-delta analog-to-digital converter from Analog Devices. It integrates a multiplexer, programmable gain amplifier (PGA), and internal reference, supporting 4 differential or 7 pseudo-differential input channels.

The ADC offers three power modes: full power (9.38 SPS to 19,200 SPS), mid power (2.34 SPS to 4,800 SPS), and low power (1.17 SPS to 2,400 SPS). It achieves up to 22 noise-free bits at gain = 1 and RMS noise as low as 24 nV rms in low power mode at 1.17 SPS with gain = 128. The programmable gain ranges from 1 to 128.

Additional features include an on-chip temperature sensor, diagnostic functions for safety integrity level (SIL) certification, simultaneous 50 Hz/60 Hz rejection, and automatic channel sequencer. The device operates over a supply voltage of 2.7 V to 3.6 V and ±1.8 V, with a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.

The AD7124-4BRUZ is housed in a 24-lead TSSOP package and communicates via an SPI-compatible serial interface. It is suitable for precision measurement applications requiring low noise and low power consumption.
