The AD693AQ, manufactured by Analog Devices Inc., is a monolithic signal conditioning circuit designed to accept low-level inputs from a variety of transducers and control a standard 4-20 mA two-wire current loop. The device features an instrumentation amplifier front end, a precalibrated 30 mV or 60 mV input span selectable by pin strapping, and a 4-20 mA output span. It includes a 6.2 V reference capable of supplying up to 3.5 mA for transducer excitation, and an uncommitted auxiliary amplifier for additional flexibility.
This device operates over an industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and is supplied in a 20-pin CDIP package (0.300", 7.62mm) with through-hole mounting. It is RoHS3 compliant and has a moisture sensitivity level of 1 (unlimited). With a total unadjusted error of 0.5% max at +25°C and 0.75% max over the temperature range, and a nonlinearity of 0.05%, the AD693AQ provides accurate signal conditioning for sensor interfaces.
