The AD677KRZ is a 16-bit successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter from Analog Devices. It offers a sampling rate of 100 kSPS with autocalibration to ensure no missing codes and excellent linearity. The device achieves ±1 LSB integral nonlinearity (INL), –99 dB total harmonic distortion (THD), and 92 dB signal-to-noise plus distortion (SINAD). The full power bandwidth is 1 MHz.
The ADC accepts a single-ended input with a typical range of 10 V p-p and supports both external and internal voltage references. It uses an SPI serial data interface for communication. Power consumption is typically 450 mW with a 10 V reference, requiring a +5 V digital supply and ±12 V analog supplies.
The AD677KRZ is housed in a 28-lead SOIC wide package (0.295", 7.50 mm width) for surface mount assembly. It operates over a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C. The device is suitable for precision data acquisition systems, industrial instrumentation, and other applications requiring high accuracy and low distortion.
