The AD677KR-REEL is a 16-bit successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Analog Devices. It features a sampling rate of 100 kSPS and utilizes an autocalibration architecture to achieve excellent DC and AC performance. The converter accepts a single-ended input and requires an external reference voltage. It provides a serial SPI interface for data output, simplifying connection to microcontrollers and DSPs.
The ADC operates from an analog supply of ±12V and a digital supply of 5V. Key performance specifications include an integral nonlinearity (INL) of ±1 LSB, total harmonic distortion (THD) of -99 dB, and signal-to-noise and distortion (SINAD) of 92 dB. The full power bandwidth is 1 MHz, making it suitable for a variety of signal processing applications.
The AD677KR-REEL is housed in a 28-lead SOIC surface-mount package (0.295" width, 7.50mm). It is specified for operation over the commercial temperature range of 0°C to 70°C. This device is ideal for data acquisition systems, industrial control, instrumentation, and medical equipment where high resolution and moderate sampling rates are required.
