The AD676JD is a 16-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that uses a successive approximation register (SAR) architecture to achieve a 100 kSPS sampling rate. It features an on-chip sample-and-hold function and autocalibration, which corrects internal nonlinearities digitally. Key performance specifications include a typical signal-to-noise and distortion ratio (SINAD) of 90 dB at 100 kSPS and 25°C, total harmonic distortion (THD) of -96 dB, and an integral nonlinearity (INL) of 61 LSB. The ADC accepts a single-ended input and provides parallel data output. It requires an external reference and operates from a +5V digital supply and ±12V analog supplies, with a typical power dissipation of 360 mW. The converter has a 10 µs conversion time and a full power bandwidth of 1 MHz. The AD676JD is housed in a 28-pin ceramic dual-in-line package (28-CDIP) with through-hole mounting and operates over a 0°C to 70°C temperature range.
