The AD574AJN is a 12-bit successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter from Analog Devices. It offers a single-ended input with selectable bipolar ranges of ±5 V and ±10 V, and unipolar ranges of 0 to 10 V and 0 to 20 V. The device uses parallel data interface for high-speed data transfer.
The ADC includes an internal 10 V reference with a tolerance of ±0.02 V typical. It requires three supply voltages: VLOGIC of 4.5 V to 5.5 V, VCC of 11.4 V to 16.5 V, and VEE of -16.5 V to -11.4 V. Typical power dissipation is 390 mW, with a maximum of 725 mW. The converter guarantees no missing codes down to 11 bits over the full operating temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.
The AD574AJN is housed in a 28-pin through-hole DIP package (0.600 inch width, 15.24 mm pitch). It is suitable for industrial and instrumentation applications where accuracy and straightforward parallel interfacing are required.
