The AD5700-1ACPZ-RL7 is a fully integrated HART-compliant FSK modem from Analog Devices. It is designed for low power operation, drawing a maximum of 115 µA in receive mode and 60 µA for the crystal oscillator. The device supports 1200 Hz and 2200 Hz sinusoidal shift frequencies and includes an integrated receive band-pass filter, minimizing external component requirements.
The modem operates from a 1.71V to 5.5V supply voltage and features a UART interface for easy connection to microcontrollers. The AD5700-1 variant includes a precision internal oscillator, eliminating the need for an external crystal in many applications. It is rated for 8 kV HBM ESD protection and operates over the full industrial temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
The AD5700-1ACPZ-RL7 is housed in a compact 4 mm × 4 mm 24-lead LFCSP package with an exposed pad for thermal management. It is suitable for intrinsically safe applications and is ideal for field transmitters, HART multiplexers, PLC and DCS analog I/O modules, and general HART network connectivity.
