The AD5697RBRUZ is a dual 12-bit buffered voltage output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices, part of the nanoDAC+ family. It features an I2C-compatible serial interface and integrates a low-drift 2.5V internal reference with a typical temperature coefficient of 2 ppm/°C. The device offers a total unadjusted error (TUE) of ±0.1% of full-scale range, with offset and gain errors of ±1.5 mV and ±0.1% FSR, respectively.
The DAC operates from a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply and supports 1.8V logic compatibility. It consumes only 3.3 mW at 3V, making it suitable for low-power applications. The AD5697RBRUZ is guaranteed monotonic by design and exhibits low glitch energy of 0.5 nV-sec. It provides a user-selectable gain of 1 or 2 via the GAIN pin and can reset to zero scale or midscale via the RSTSEL pin.
The device is available in a 16-lead TSSOP package (0.173" width) and also in a 3mm x 3mm 16-lead LFCSP. It is rated for surface mount assembly and operates over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +105°C. The AD5697RBRUZ is RoHS3 compliant and has a moisture sensitivity level of MSL 1 (unlimited).
Typical applications include base station power amplifiers, process control PLC I/O cards, industrial automation, and data acquisition systems. The high drive capability of 20 mA allows direct driving of loads without an external buffer.
