The AD5662 is a low power, single 16-bit buffered voltage-out DAC from Analog Devices, part of the nanoDAC family. It operates from a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply and is guaranteed monotonic by design. The output is rail-to-rail and requires an external reference voltage. Key specifications include 16-bit resolution, 10µs settling time, 250µA supply current at 5V, and power-down mode to 480nA at 5V. The data interface supports SPI and DSP with Schmitt-triggered inputs. The architecture is a string DAC. INL is ±8 LSB max, DNL ±1 LSB max. The device operates over -40°C to +125°C. It is available in an 8-MSOP (also 8-TSSOP) surface-mount package. The AD5662 is suitable for process control, data acquisition systems, portable battery-powered instruments, digital gain and offset adjustment, and programmable voltage sources.
