The AD565ATD from Analog Devices is a fast, 12-bit monolithic digital-to-analog converter (DAC) designed for high-speed applications. It utilizes precision bipolar current-steering switches and a laser-trimmed thin-film resistor network to achieve high accuracy and speed.
Key electrical specifications include a 12-bit resolution, a parallel data interface, and an analog supply voltage range of ±11.4V to 16.5V. The integral and differential nonlinearity are both specified at ±0.25 LSB maximum. The device offers a settling time of 400 ns and a full-scale switching time of 30 ns. It can operate over a wide temperature range of -55°C to 125°C.
This DAC is available in a 24-CDIP package and is designed for through-hole mounting. The AD565ATD incorporates an on-board high-stability buried Zener reference, offering low noise and long-term stability. It is suitable for applications requiring fast analog output, such as high-speed display drivers and fast analog-to-digital converters.
