The AD5601BKSZ-REEL7 from Analog Devices is an 8-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) in the nanoDAC family. It provides a voltage-buffered output with rail-to-rail swing and operates from a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply. The device features a 3-wire serial interface (SPI/DSP) with Schmitt-triggered inputs and an SYNC interrupt facility.
Key electrical specifications include a settling time of 10 µs, integral nonlinearity of ±0.5 LSB maximum, and a string DAC architecture. The DAC consumes typically 75 µA at 5V, with a power-down mode reducing current to 0.2 µA at 3V. It is guaranteed monotonic and includes power-on reset to 0V with brownout detection.
Housed in a compact SC-70-6 package (also part of 6-TSSOP/SC-88/SOT-363 family), the device is designed for surface mount assembly and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. Applications include voltage level setting, portable battery-powered instruments, and digital gain/offset adjustment.
