The AD558SD/883B is a 8-bit digital-to-analog converter from Analog Devices, featuring a voltage-unbuffered output with an R-2R ladder architecture. It includes an internal reference, simplifying external circuitry. The device offers two output voltage ranges: 0 to 2.56V and 0 to 10V, with typical settling times of 0.8 µs and 2.0 µs respectively. The supply voltage range depends on the output range: 4.5V to 16.5V for the 2.56V range and 11.4V to 16.5V for the 10V range. Typical supply current is 15 mA. The DAC is specified for the extended industrial temperature range of -55°C to +125°C and is housed in a 16-lead ceramic dual-in-line package (16-CDIP) with through-hole mounting. Integral nonlinearity is ±2.5 LSB maximum. The device is designed for applications requiring precision analog output in harsh environments.
For the 2.56V output range, the supply voltage range is 4.5V to 16.5V. For the 10V output range, the supply voltage range is 11.4V to 16.5V.
It is available in a 16-CDIP (0.300", 7.62mm) through-hole package with a supplier device package of 16-CDIP.
The operating temperature range is -55°C to +125°C.
The RoHS status is listed as RoHS3 Compliant, but this has not been independently verified. Please verify with the manufacturer.
8 bits.
For the 0 to 2.56V range, settling time is 0.8 µs typical, 1.5 µs maximum. For the 0 to 10V range, settling time is 2.0 µs typical, 3.0 µs maximum.
Voltage - Unbuffered.
