The AD5547BRUZ is a dual 16-bit, current-output, multiplying digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices. It utilizes an R-2R architecture with an external reference and provides a parallel data interface. Key electrical specifications include a typical settling time of 500 ns, integral nonlinearity (INL) of ±1 LSB maximum, and differential nonlinearity (DNL) of ±1 LSB maximum. The device operates from a single supply voltage between 2.7 V and 5.5 V, with a maximum supply current of only 10 µA. It features a low voltage noise density of 12 nV/√Hz and a multiplying bandwidth of 6.8 MHz. The full-scale output current is 2 mA ±20% with VREF = 10 V.
The DAC is designed for applications requiring high precision and low power, such as automatic test equipment, instrumentation, digitally controlled calibration, and digital waveform generation. It includes built-in feedback resistors (RFB) for current-to-voltage conversion and 4-quadrant resistors for bipolar output configurations. The device is available in a compact 38-lead TSSOP surface-mount package and supports an extended industrial temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
