The AD5531BRUZ is a 14-bit, single-channel, voltage-output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices. It utilizes an R-2R architecture and provides a buffered voltage output. The device features a 3-wire serial interface compatible with SPI and DSP standards, and includes data readback capability for verifying the DAC register contents.
The DAC offers a settling time of 20 µs typical, with integral nonlinearity (INL) of ±2 LSB max and differential nonlinearity (DNL) of ±1 LSB max. It requires an external reference and operates from dual supplies of ±12V or ±15V, producing an output voltage range of ±10V. The device operates over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
The AD5531BRUZ is housed in a 16-lead TSSOP surface-mount package (0.173" width, 4.40mm). It is suitable for industrial automation, automatic test equipment, process control, and general-purpose instrumentation applications. The device includes a power-down function and a clear function to a user-defined voltage.
