The AD5445YCPZ is a 12-bit current output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices. It uses an R-2R ladder architecture and provides a current-unbuffered output with an external reference. This DAC features a fast parallel data interface supporting update rates up to 20.4 MSPS, making it suitable for high-speed waveform generation and instrumentation applications.
The device operates from a single 2.5V to 5.5V supply and consumes a typical power of only 0.4 µA, which is ideal for portable battery-powered designs. The differential output supports 4-quadrant multiplication with a multiplying bandwidth of 10 MHz, allowing gain and offset trimming in analog processing circuits.
Housed in a 20-LFCSP (4x4 mm) surface-mount package, the AD5445YCPZ is specified over the extended industrial temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. Integral nonlinearity (INL) is ±1 LSB maximum for 12-bit operation, and the settling time is 120 ns typical.
