The AD5444YRMZ-REEL7 is a 12-bit current output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) manufactured by Analog Devices. It features a single unbuffered current output with differential capability and uses an external voltage reference. The device operates from a single 2.5 V to 5.5 V supply and offers a maximum integral nonlinearity of ±0.5 LSB. The R-2R architecture enables excellent 4-quadrant multiplication characteristics up to 12 MHz.
This DAC employs a double-buffered, 3-wire serial interface compatible with SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE, and most DSP interface standards, supporting a 50 MHz serial clock rate. The device achieves a settling time of 110 ns and an update rate of 2.7 MSPS. On power-up, the internal shift register and latches are reset to zero, bringing the DAC output to zero scale. Power-on reset with brownout detection is also included.
The AD5444YRMZ-REEL7 is supplied in a 10-lead MSOP surface mount package and is rated for operation over the extended industrial temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. Typical applications include portable battery-powered equipment, waveform generators, instrumentation, programmable amplifiers and attenuators, and analog signal processing.
