AD5410AREZ Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The AD5410AREZ by Analog Devices is a low-cost, precision, fully integrated 12-/16-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) designed for industrial process control applications. It features a programmable current source output with selectable ranges of 4 mA to 20 mA, 0 mA to 20 mA, or an overrange of 0 mA to 24 mA. The device boasts a typical total unadjusted error (TUE) of ±0.01% FSR and an output drift of ±3 ppm/°C.

This DAC operates with a power supply (AVDD) range from 10.8 V to 40 V and offers an output loop compliance up to AVDD - 2.5 V. It supports a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The flexible serial digital interface is compatible with SPI, MICROWIRE, QSPI, and DSP, and can operate in a 3-wire mode to minimize digital isolation requirements.

Available in 24-lead TSSOP and 40-lead LFCSP packages, the AD5410AREZ includes on-chip output fault detection, an on-chip reference with a maximum drift of 10 ppm/°C, and feedback/monitoring of the output current. It also features a power-on reset function and an asynchronous CLEAR pin for setting the output to the low end of the selected current range. Its HART network connectivity makes it suitable for process control, actuator control, and PLC applications.
