The AD534TH is a high-quality, monolithic laser-trimmed four-quadrant multiplier/divider IC manufactured by Analog Devices. It provides a maximum multiplication error of ±0.25% for the AD534L grade, without requiring external trimming. The device features fully differential, high impedance inputs on all terminals (X, Y, and Z), enhancing its flexibility and ease of use.
The scale factor is pretrimmed to 10.00 V and can be adjusted to lower values using an external resistor, offering adjustable gain up to ×100. It boasts low noise performance with 90 μV rms from 10 Hz to 10 kHz and excellent long-term stability due to on-chip thin-film resistors and a buried Zener reference.
Applications for the AD534TH include high-quality analog signal processing, differential ratio and percentage computations, algebraic and trigonometric function synthesis, wideband RMS-to-DC conversion, and accurate voltage-controlled oscillators and filters. It is available in TO-100 metal can and SBDIP packages, suitable for through-hole mounting.
The AD534TH supports standard multiplication, division, squaring, and square-rooting functions. Its differential Z input allows signals to be summed into the output with adjustable gain and polarity. The device is stable with capacitive loads up to 1000 pF, making it suitable for critical applications.
