AD534LD Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The AD534LD is a monolithic laser-trimmed four-quadrant analog multiplier/divider from Analog Devices. It features a pretrimmed maximum 4-quadrant error of ±0.25% for the L grade, eliminating the need for external trimming in most applications. The transfer function is [(X1 - X2)(Y1 - Y2)/10 V] + Z2, with a pretrimmed scale factor of 10 V that is adjustable down to 3 V for up to ×100 gain.

All inputs (X, Y, Z) are differential and high impedance, enabling flexible signal conditioning. The device achieves low noise of 90 µV rms over a 10 Hz to 10 kHz bandwidth, making it suitable for high-quality analog signal processing. It operates over a temperature range of 0°C to +70°C.

The AD534LD is supplied in a 14-lead CDIP (0.300", 7.62mm) ceramic dual-in-line package with through-hole mounting. It is designed for applications such as differential ratio and percentage computations, algebraic and trigonometric function synthesis, wideband RMS-to-DC conversion, and voltage-controlled oscillators and filters.
