The AD5324ARMZ is a 12-bit quad voltage output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) manufactured by Analog Devices. It contains four buffered DACs in a single 10-lead MSOP package, providing a compact solution for multi-channel analog output applications.
Each DAC offers 12-bit resolution with a typical settling time of 10 µs. The device operates from a single supply voltage of 2.5V to 5.5V, consuming only 500 µA at 3V and 600 µA at 5V typical. The output type is voltage-buffered, with a slew rate of 0.7 V/µs. The data interface supports SPI and DSP-compatible 3-wire serial communication. The reference type is external.
The architecture is a string DAC with guaranteed monotonicity. Power dissipation is low at 1.5 mW at 3V and 3 mW at 5V. Power-down current is 80 nA at 3V and 200 nA at 5V. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +105°C, suitable for industrial and automotive applications. The device is surface mount in a 10-MSOP package.
Typical applications include portable battery-powered instruments, digital gain and offset adjustment, programmable voltage sources, and industrial process controls. The double-buffered input logic allows simultaneous update of outputs via the LDAC function.
