The AD5321BRMZ-REEL7 is a single 12-bit buffered voltage-output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices. It operates from a single 2.5V to 5.5V supply and consumes only 120 μA at 3V, making it suitable for portable battery-powered instruments. The device features an I2C-compatible 2-wire serial interface supporting clock rates up to 400 kHz, and includes a power-on reset to 0V and three power-down functions.
Key specifications include a settling time of 10 µs, a maximum INL of ±2 LSB, and a string DAC architecture. The reference is derived from the power supply, providing the widest dynamic output range. The on-chip output amplifier enables rail-to-rail output swing with a slew rate of 0.7 V/μs.
The DAC is available in an 8-MSOP surface-mount package (8-TSSOP/MSOP) and operates over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to 105°C. It is designed for applications such as digital gain and offset adjustment, programmable voltage and current sources, and programmable attenuators.
