The AD5321BRMZ is a single 12-bit buffered voltage output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices. It operates from a 2.5 V to 5.5 V supply and consumes only 120 µA at 3 V, making it suitable for battery-powered applications. The device features a 2-wire I2C-compatible serial interface that supports clock rates up to 400 kHz and includes data readback capability.
The on-chip output buffer amplifier provides rail-to-rail output swing with a typical slew rate of 0.7 V/µs. The DAC reference is derived from the supply voltage, maximizing the dynamic output range. It includes three power-down functions that reduce current consumption to 50 nA at 3 V. The device is guaranteed monotonic by design and features power-on reset to 0 V.
The AD5321BRMZ is available in an 8-lead MSOP surface mount package and operates over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to 105°C. Typical applications include portable battery-powered instruments, digital gain and offset adjustment, programmable voltage and current sources, and programmable attenuators.
