The AD5314ARMZ-REEL7 is a quad 10-bit buffered voltage output digital-to-analog converter from Analog Devices. It features four independent DAC channels with rail-to-rail output buffers, providing an output voltage range from 0 V to the external reference voltage (VREF). The device uses a string DAC architecture and is guaranteed monotonic by design over all codes.
This DAC operates from a single 2.5V to 5.5V power supply, drawing a typical supply current of 500 µA at 3V and 600 µA at 5V. It includes a power-down mode that reduces current consumption to 80 nA at 3V and 200 nA at 5V. The digital interface is a 3-wire serial interface compatible with SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE, and DSP protocols, supporting clock rates up to 30 MHz.
The device is available in a 10-lead MSOP package and is specified for an operating temperature range of -40°C to +105°C. It features a power-on reset to 0V and a simultaneous update of all outputs via the LDAC function. Typical applications include portable battery-powered instruments, digital gain and offset adjustment, programmable voltage and current sources, and industrial process controls.
