The AD5311BRM is a single 10-bit buffered voltage output DAC from Analog Devices. It operates from a 2.5V to 5.5V supply and consumes only 120 µA at 3V, making it suitable for battery-powered applications. The device uses a 2-wire I²C-compatible serial interface supporting clock rates up to 400 kHz. The on-chip output amplifier provides rail-to-rail output swing with a slew rate of 0.7 V/µs. The reference is derived from the power supply, maximizing the dynamic output range. The DAC is monotonic by design over all codes. It includes power-down functions reducing current to 50 nA at 3V. The AD5311BRM is available in an 8-lead MSOP package and is specified for the -40°C to +105°C temperature range. Typical applications include portable battery-powered instruments, digital gain and offset adjustment, and programmable voltage sources.
