The AD5308ARUZ-REEL7 is an 8-bit octal voltage output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices. It integrates eight buffered DACs with a 3-wire SPI and DSP-compatible serial interface. The device operates from a single 2.5V to 5.5V supply and consumes only 0.7 mA typical at 3V. Each DAC provides a buffered voltage output with a range of 0V to VREF or 0V to 2VREF, selectable via external reference. The architecture is a string DAC with guaranteed monotonicity over all codes. The settling time is 8 µs typical, and the slew rate is 0.7 V/µs. Power-down mode reduces current to 120 nA at 3V and 400 nA at 5V. The device is available in a 16-lead TSSOP package (0.173" width, 4.40mm), surface mount, with a lead pitch of 0.65 mm. It is qualified for automotive applications and operates over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to 125°C. The AD5308ARUZ-REEL7 is suitable for applications such as portable battery-powered instruments, digital gain and offset adjustment, programmable voltage and current sources, and industrial process control.
