The AD5161BRMZ10-RL7 is a 256-position digital potentiometer from Analog Devices. It offers end-to-end resistance of 10kΩ with ±30% tolerance and a low temperature coefficient of 45ppm/°C. The device uses a pin-selectable I2C or SPI digital interface for wiper control and readback, operating from a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply with typical current consumption of only 8µA. The wiper setting is volatile and preset to midscale at power-on.
Designed as a replacement for mechanical potentiometers, the AD5161 provides solid-state reliability and enhanced resolution in a compact MSOP-10 (3mm x 4.9mm) surface-mount package.
