AD2S1210WDSTZ Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The AD2S1210WDSTZ is a complete monolithic resolver-to-digital (R/D) converter from Analog Devices. It integrates an on-board programmable sinusoidal oscillator for resolver excitation and supports user-selectable resolutions of 10, 12, 14, or 16 bits.

The converter accepts 3.15 V p-p ±27% sine and cosine input signals over a frequency range of 2 kHz to 20 kHz. It provides a maximum tracking rate of 3125 rps at 10-bit resolution with a 10.24 MHz clock. Angular accuracy is ±2.5 arc minutes plus 1 LSB for B and D grades. The device operates from a 5 V supply with a logic interface voltage range of 2.3 V to 5.25 V.

The AD2S1210WDSTZ includes system fault detection with programmable thresholds, incremental encoder emulation, and is compatible with DSP and SPI standards. It is AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications and has an ASIL B safety assessment certificate available.

The device is offered in a 48-lead LQFP (7x7 mm) surface-mount package and is rated for operation from -40°C to +125°C (W grade).
