The AD2S1210ASTZ is a complete monolithic resolver-to-digital converter offering user-selectable resolution of 10, 12, 14, or 16 bits. It accepts sine and cosine differential inputs with a nominal 3.15 V p-p signal range over a 2 kHz to 20 kHz frequency range.
Key performance specifications include a maximum tracking rate of 3125 rps at 10-bit resolution with a 10.24 MHz clock. The device provides both absolute position and velocity outputs, and includes system fault detection with programmable thresholds. Data is available through either a parallel or serial (SPI-compatible) interface.
The converter operates from a 4.75 V to 5.25 V analog supply and a 2.3 V to 5.25 V logic supply. It is housed in a 48-LQFP (7x7 mm) surface mount package and is rated for operation from -40°C to +85°C (datasheet specifies up to +125°C for some grades). The part is AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications and an ASIL B safety assessment certificate is available.
