The AD22100KRZ from Analog Devices is a monolithic temperature sensor featuring on-chip signal conditioning. It is designed for operation across a temperature range of -50°C to +150°C, making it suitable for various HVAC, instrumentation, and automotive applications.
This sensor provides an analog voltage output proportional to temperature and supply voltage (ratiometric). It offers an accuracy better than ±2% of full scale and linearity better than ±1% of full scale. The output swings from 0.25V at -50°C to 4.75V at +150°C when using a single +5.0V supply. The signal conditioning circuitry eliminates the need for trimming, buffering, or linearization, simplifying system design and reducing costs.
The AD22100KRZ is available in an 8-SOIC package and is designed for surface mount applications. Its high-level, low-impedance output and reverse voltage protection are key design features. The sensor's minimal self-heating is also beneficial for accurate temperature measurements.
