The AD1865N is a complete dual 18-bit digital-to-analog converter from Analog Devices/Maxim Integrated. It integrates two full signal channels with voltage outputs, eliminating the need for external demultiplexing. The monolithic chip uses ABCMOS technology combining CMOS logic, bipolar and MOS linear elements, and laser-trimmed thin-film resistors.
Key specifications include 110 dB signal-to-noise ratio, 0.003% total harmonic distortion plus noise, and 116 dB channel separation. The R-2R architecture provides monotonic performance. The device operates with 16x oversampling per channel.
The AD1865N is available in a through-hole 24-pin PDIP package (24-DIP 0.600" width) with a height of 6.35 mm. It operates over a temperature range of -25°C to 70°C and is supplied in tube packaging.
Typical applications include multi-channel audio systems, CD and DAT players, digital mixing consoles, multimedia workstations, and polyphonic keyboard instruments.
