The AD1853JRSZ is a complete high-performance single-chip stereo digital audio playback system from Analog Devices. It is a 24-bit multibit sigma-delta DAC supporting sample rates up to 192 kHz. The device accepts 16- to 24-bit data and features a data directed scrambling DAC architecture that is least sensitive to jitter.
Key performance specifications include a typical signal-to-noise ratio of 120 dB (A-weighted, mono) and 117 dB (stereo) at 48 kHz sample rate. Dynamic range is 119 dB (mono) and 116 dB (stereo). Total harmonic distortion plus noise is -107 dB (mono) and -104 dB (stereo). The DAC includes on-chip clickless volume control, hardware and software controllable mute, and digital de-emphasis for 32, 44.1, and 48 kHz sample rates.
The device operates from a single 5V supply and requires both analog and digital voltage supplies. It features a flexible serial data port supporting right-justified, left-justified, I²S-compatible, and DSP serial port modes. The AD1853 is housed in a 28-lead SSOP plastic package with a 0.209-inch body width and 5.30mm pitch, suitable for surface-mount assembly. Operating temperature range is 0°C to 70°C.
The supply voltage is 5V.
It comes in a 28-lead SSOP package (0.209", 5.30mm width).
