The AD1833ACST is a multichannel, 24-bit, 192 kHz digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices, designed for high-performance audio applications. It provides six channels of audio playback, supporting 96 kHz sample rates on all six channels and 192 kHz on two channels. The device achieves a typical signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 110 dB and total harmonic distortion plus noise (THD+N) of -94 dB in 6-channel mode and -95 dB in 2-channel mode.
The DAC features a flexible serial data port that supports I2S, Left Justified, Right Justified, DSP, and TDM interface modes. It includes an SPI-compatible serial control port for configuration. On-chip volume control per channel with a 1024-step linear scale and software-controllable clickless mute are integrated. The device also supports digital de-emphasis processing and multiple master clock modes (256 fS, 512 fS, and 768 fS).
The AD1833ACST is housed in a 48-lead LQFP plastic package (7x7 mm) for surface mount assembly. It operates with a 5 V analog supply and a 3.3 V tolerant digital interface. The differential output architecture provides optimum performance for audio signal integrity.
