The AD1674JN is a complete, monolithic 12-bit analog-to-digital converter from Analog Devices. It integrates a user-transparent sample-and-hold amplifier, a 10V reference, clock, and three-state output buffers for direct microprocessor interfacing. The SAR architecture delivers 100 kSPS sampling rate with 12-bit resolution.
The ADC accepts single-ended inputs and supports multiple input ranges: unipolar 0V to 10V and 0V to 20V, as well as bipolar ±5V and ±10V. It can use either an external or internal reference. The digital interface is parallel, compatible with 8- and 16-bit microprocessors.
Power supply requirements are ±11.4V to 16.5V for analog and 5V for digital. The device operates over a commercial temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.
The AD1674JN is housed in a 28-DIP (0.600", 15.24mm) through-hole package with supplier device package 28-PDIP. This package is suitable for prototyping and applications requiring robust mechanical mounting.
