ACT212 Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The NAIS ACT212 is an ultra-small automotive relay designed for applications such as power windows, auto door locks, power sunroofs, and electrically powered mirrors. It is available in two configurations: a twin type with 8 terminals and a slim 1c type.

This relay features a silver alloy contact material and offers a nominal switching capacity of 20A at 14V DC for Normally Open (N.O.) contacts and 10A at 14V DC for Normally Closed (N.C.) contacts. It can handle a maximum carrying current of 35A for 2 minutes or 25A for 1 hour at 14V DC. The mechanical expected life is a minimum of 10 million operations, with electrical life ratings of at least 100,000 cycles for resistive loads and 200,000 cycles for motor loads.

With an operating power of 800mW, the ACT212 has a maximum operating speed of 6 cycles per minute. It boasts an initial insulation resistance of at least 100 MΩ at 500V DC and an initial breakdown voltage of 500Vrms for 1 minute between open contacts and between contacts and coil. Operate and release times are both a maximum of 10ms.

The relay is built to withstand harsh environments, with functional shock resistance of at least 100 m/s² and destructive shock resistance of at least 1000 m/s². Vibration resistance is functional up to 44.1 m/s² from 10 to 100 Hz and destructive up to 44.1 m/s² from 10 to 500 Hz. The operating and storage temperature range is -40 ° C to +85 ° C, with humidity tolerance from 5 to 85% R.H. The twin type weighs approximately 8.0g, and the slim 1c type weighs approximately 4.0g.
