The Allegro MicroSystems ACS770LCB-050B-PFF-T is a high-precision, fully integrated Hall-effect-based linear current sensor IC. It is designed for economical and precise AC or DC current sensing applications, including motor control, load detection, power supply control, and overcurrent fault detection.
This sensor IC features a 100 µΩ internal conductor resistance, resulting in ultralow power loss. It provides a ratiometric voltage output that varies linearly with the bidirectional primary sampled current, IP, up to 50A. Key electrical specifications include a 5V operating voltage, ±0.6% accuracy, ±1% linearity, and a sensitivity of 40mV/A. The device boasts a wide frequency response from DC up to 120kHz and a fast response time of 4.6µs.
Operating within a temperature range of -40°C to 150°C, the ACS770LCB-050B-PFF-T utilizes proprietary digital temperature compensation technology for improved accuracy and temperature stability. Its integrated shield technology offers high-level immunity to current conductor dV/dt and stray electric fields, reducing output voltage ripple and offset drift in high-side applications.
The sensor is housed in a 5-CB Module package with formed leads, suitable for through-hole mounting. The output is ratiometric and proportional to the current, with a positive slope for increasing current flow.
