This sensor IC features a 40A current rating, ±2% accuracy, and ±1% linearity. It operates with a voltage range of 4.5V to 5.5V and provides a sensitivity of 50mV/A. The output is ratiometric and voltage-based, with a response time of 5µs and a frequency response from DC up to 80kHz.

 

The device consists of a precise, low-offset, linear Hall sensor circuit with an integrated copper conduction path. Applied current generates a magnetic field sensed by the Hall IC, converted into a proportional voltage. The internal resistance of the conductive path is 0.85 mΩ typical, ensuring low power loss. The terminals of the conductive path are electrically isolated from the sensor leads, enabling high-side current sensing without costly isolation techniques.

 

Mounting is via surface mount technology. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 125°C. This part is classified as NOT FOR NEW DESIGN, meaning its sale is restricted to existing customer applications due to probable obsolescence.
