The Allegro™ ACS722LLCTR-20AU-T is an economical and precise Hall Effect current sensor IC for AC or DC current sensing in industrial, commercial, and communications systems. Its small SOIC8 package is ideal for space-constrained applications, saving board space and costs.
This device features a precise, low-offset, linear Hall sensor circuit with a low internal resistance copper conduction path. Applied current generates a magnetic field sensed by the Hall IC, producing a proportional voltage output. It offers a 20A current range with a sensitivity of 132mV/A and accuracy of ±3%. The operating voltage is between 3V and 3.6V, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to 150°C.
The ACS722LLCTR-20AU-T is suitable for applications including motor control, load detection and management, switched-mode power supplies, and overcurrent fault protection. The sensor's terminals are electrically isolated from the sensor leads, enabling high-side current sensing without costly isolation techniques.
This part is provided in a small, low-profile surface mount 8-SOIC package. Note that this device is classified as 'Not for New Design' and is restricted to existing customer applications.
