The AAT2866IMK-3-T1 from Skyworks Solutions is a highly integrated lighting management unit (LMU) designed for single-cell lithium-ion/polymer systems. It features a charge pump that powers eight LED channels, supporting various backlight and flash configurations. The backlight LED channels can be programmed up to 31mA per channel, with current matching better than 3% for uniform display brightness. The total flash LED output current can be programmed up to 600mA, with flash current matching better than 5% for uniform power dissipation.
This device utilizes Skyworks' AS2Cwire serial interface for enabling, disabling, and setting current levels. Backlight current can be controlled via the AS2Cwire interface with 32 linear settings or through pulse width modulation (PWM) control. The AAT2866 also includes three high-performance, low-noise MicroPower low dropout (LDO) linear regulators, each capable of supplying up to 300mA load current. The LDO output voltages are programmable from 1.2V to 3.3V via the AS2Cwire interface.
The AAT2866IMK-3-T1 operates over an input voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V and is available in a space-saving 24-TQFN package. It is designed for applications such as camera-enabled mobile devices, digital still cameras, and multimedia mobile phones, operating within an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
