The AAT1271IWO-T1 from Skyworks Solutions is a 1.5A step-up current regulator ideal for LED photo flash applications in single-cell Li-ion powered products. It maintains output current regulation using pulse-width modulation at a fixed 2MHz switching frequency, enabling the use of small inductors and capacitors for compact designs.
This device features dual channel output, capable of delivering up to 750mA per channel. The maximum flash and movie-mode current is set by a single external resistor, with a flash-to-movie-mode current ratio of approximately 7.3:1. It includes Skyworks' proprietary AS2Cwire™ serial digital interface for enabling, disabling, and programming various operations, including movie-mode current, safety timer delay, and flash-to-movie-mode current ratio.
